There is an old adage..blue and green should never be seen. Go with the red and black and be dramatic.

Of course you should not paint your room red and black or
blue and green. Why would anybody have such a dark room.
Just paint it one light color with some darker trim. OFCOURSE
you CAN paint it dark, if you are depressed.

you can paint it whatever colors you want .. i would go with blue and green
