A Muslim just asked me this amazingly stupid question...in fact...at the moment I cant think of a dumber question ever asked.
Almost all armed conflict today is Islamic. This is not an exagerration, its a hardcore fact. This alone is reason enough, but by no means the only reason.
Islam has literally always been creating war. Understand what I mean here...I dont mean Muslims have always been at war, because this doesnt necessarily connect the idealogy to the murder. Im sure there were many Nazis who did wrong outside the influence of Nazism, like an SS man who rape a German woman.
Im speaking about Jihad or murder done out of the belief that it serves Allah. The Arab Muslim Invasions of India (note the word INVASION) was entirely a Jihadist endeavor. The reason why Muslims INVADED non-muslim lands and murdered the more humans than any other people in all of history is because they believed in their religious mandate. READ ABOUT IT.

Kimo, above says Muslims have still some ethics.
I would ask him what kind of ethics allows grown persons to mutilate small children systematically throughout the Islamic world. Any person with a spark of humanity would denounce it, yet it is allowed to continue to this day some say to the rate of about 40,000 in the USA alone.

Why do people hate islam? well
Christianity is an "easy" religion... they say all rules are done with in the Old Testament, and while the New Testamenet doesn't contain much rules, so they believe that they can sin as much as they want, and as long as they have Jesus in their heart then they will go to heaven.
Other religions like Judaism and Islam are not widely accepted because they contain rules that prohibit people from doing sins like adultary and stuff like that. Now Jewish people are not doing so well in following the rules and you will find Jewish actors having sex on screens. So that's why the Muslims are the most attacked because most of them still have some ethics... not all Muslims of course, but I'm talking when u look at the general picture.
Bottom line, Christians doesn't have much to follow so they invent Human Rights and stuff like that to follow and do whatever they feel like.

And all white people are supreme.
All black people are thieves.
All mexicans came here illegally.
All asians are good at math.
All jews care about is money.
PEOPLE do bad things. Not Islam. Any person can take the most benevolent teaching and make it ugly. Christians do the same thing with the bible. My own people! But that doesn't make all Christianity bad. Just like not all Muslims are bad.
