A Clarifcation needed on the Pelosi/reid regime diatribe when the Iraq war bill was signed today?

Can one of the liberal extremists out there clarify the reasoning as to why MILLIONS of dollars of unrelated pork sandwiched in the bill makes soldiers combat ready and insures their safety. Remember, thats an EXACT QUOTE from Pelosi and echoed by Harry. And how, specifically is peanut storage the will of the american people when it relates to Iraq. Obviously the Pelosi/reid regime desparately needs a reality check as NONE of this was the will of the american people who are pro or con for the war. NO one directed them to install tax and spend campaigns and certaily the razor thin mandate of 06 was not about pulling an arbitrary date out of the air for cut and run. Oh and by the way, while your at it, if we can sift through all your trumpeting about since billary and john edwards have flipped flopped out of their authorization vote, could you state how cut and run WONT drive the middle east into chaos. the post and the la times have already gone on record in this forum against it.

Maybe one of you clowns can also elaborate how the Coalition Provisional Authority under Bremer lost track of $9 BILLION worth of reconstruction funds and can't even produce a single receipt to track where all those funds went. How about those no-bid contracts locking out all of our NATO allies out of the running when it came to Iraqi reconstruction - the abject failure of which is the BIG reason why the majority of the locals are shooting at us.

I can't count the number of times I've heard variations of:

"You know, I can accept being occupied. We lost the war. I can accept you punishing Saddam. He started the war."

"But I can't accept you coming into Iraq, throwing us (Iraqi military) out of work, and we still don't have electricity or water. You promised us so many things and we have nothing. The mightiest country on earth can't even provide us drinking water or pave our roads, but you send your Soldiers to guard our oil pipelines. Why?"

For further clarification: Pork is the preferred diet of both parties. Incompetence is definitely not a monopoly exclusive to either political party.

What's YOUR motive for bashing those idiots Pelosi and Reid, when we in the field actually fighting the war have been screwed REPEATEDLY by either funding shortages (i.e. me and my entire Battalion driving around in canvas-door HMMWVs for all of 2003, or fighting for extra armor for our doors in 2005) or SOMEONE in the current administration not having the BALLS to let the troops FIGHT to win?

I don't recall the Republican right actually giving us any sort of SUBSTANTIAL support in terms of new technologies or funding. Did we increase defense spending to where we needed it during the years of TOTAL Republican control of Congress? Go compare the defense budget of today as a percentage of GNP compared to WW2 or Vietnam and tell me the troops haven't been screwed.

Your question is a sham. None of you cowards stepped upto the plate when the troops were getting slammed with UCMJ left and right for trying to fight a war. None of you cowards stepped upto the plate when we needed SERIOUS increases in the defense budget and total end strength. Year after year we kept on hearing denials: "Oh we're doing fine, the Army has enough people".

And now some of these retard leftists in the House tack on some pork on a spending bill - the sort of underhanded behavior which Republicans are also MASTERS of (Tom DeLay? Jack Abramoff?) and you fly off the handle while some of our guys can't get enough uniform issue.
