If I was being arrested, that would probably be a bad time to see if I remember any Judo or Tae Kwon Do. You asked for us to make you laugh. Am I on the right track?

Do not resist arrest or fight back - if so, more charges can be added to the original one. In addition, you might find yourself on the receiving end of mace, pepper spray or a baton.

It's up to you whether you want to talk; if you're being arrested, you have to be given your Miranda rights. But you have the choice.

Do not: Answer any questions, Do: demand to have an ATTY present during questioning Do not: be frighened of their threats or believe the old line "if you cooperate we'll go easy on you" only the DA can go easy on you. Do: take a beating if they give you one, it will work in your favor when the ATTY gets there.

Well, Chris Rock has tips for police encounters that I think would illustrate things you shouldn't do in an arrest situation. Here's a link for you........

One time I said "I'm sorry but I can't allow you to do that" and he let me go. True story but it was a Trempealeau County WI cop. Thus my earlier answer that I have never been in jail. In case anyone caught that.

Don't ask them to get in the back of the squad car with you or if they want to come back to your place from some coffee.

Don't spit on or at them.

Like Rodney Carrington said, when you are drunk, bottle on the seat, tell the officer after he pulls you over Man I am glad you stopped me....I could have killed somebody.
