most of my friends are white and they dont seem to care about all this stuff. but hey, they might not say anything for respect...
l think u white people have the right to protect ur country[nothing wrong with that. and we [ mexicans] have the right to look for a better life for our kids.

Well, l just said it because in Mexico May 5th is not even a national or federal hollyday, in the States is where l learned that cinco de mayo was the big deal. lol
and l see that many americans celebrate it. but if u dont do it its understandable. neither l will this year.

Wow. You have experienced a lot of ignorance on this question. I am 100% American and support people having the choice to become LEGAL citizen of the US. As long as they pay their taxes like I do and follow the laws of the US I am cool with it. Americans enjoy celebrating Cinco de Mayo for two reasons...it gives us a reason to party and eat some great food. I am going to downtown Orlando, Fl to party and enjoy chillin with my friends. Dont listen to these negative people on here. They really are the minority. Thanks for protecting our (your and mine) country. God Bless!

We're getting a bunch of Mexican Flags and painting NO AMNESTY/ No Pathways to Citizenship on them and then we're boycotting all Mexican everything -- even Sunday church services that are in spanish.

This country is on the verge of a civil war. I'm not helping the Mex's celebrate anything unless it's a 12-20 million illegal immigrant march back to Mexico. I'd be happy to get them parade permits and a police escort!

We had nothing against law-abiding immigrants but since so many of them are law-breakers, it makes it really difficult to sort them out. All you legals should be ensuring that you have Cinco de Mayo signs that say your restaurant is owned by law-abiding citizens and if you only allow law-abiding citizens to come in, then maybe we'd consider helping you and celebrating with you. But since May 5th is Mexican Independence day, you should probably be celebrating that in Mexico, not here.

I'll be at home praying that Americans are treated fairly in their own nation. And that Americans are not pushed to the back burner to support ILLEGAL. And that public education will be uncroweded and return to the standard that it once had, long ago. And that Americans will not have to pay for private education so that their children will actually LEARN in school

I don't celebrate France's independence day, so why should I celebrate Mexico's?

The only Independence day I celebrate is July 4th.

More Americans need to honor this country

PS: thank you for your service to our nation

I don't celebrate it usually, and won't this year. However, Happy Cinco de Mayo to those who do.
