It should be a requirement. I think that if you want to be part of this country you should be familiar with the history and understand the country you are about to aware allegiance to.

They have already started a hard test to become and American Citizen. You need to know more about Americas history,leaders, and know how to speak English between 50% and up . These standard were set due to match other countries standards the are used for citizenship. Plus when it comes down to it they just want more people to know about this country better due to the fact American born citizen are not good a remember most things about this country either.

Most Americans couldn't pass the test if their citizenship depended on it. But I am for the tests, I think it gives immigrants a better appreciation of our democracy and teaches them why this country is so great. Maybe we should require tests before people can vote too.

If you are so dumb you can't figure out the test, or care so little about being a citizen that you think you have some special 'right' to it without studying, we don't want you.
