What if gold grew on trees in Mexico, and people from America were dying just to get in and live "The Mexican dream." Millions upon millions of gringos would try and cross the Rio Grande, or sneak across the Arizona border into the land of prosperity. It would be like the 1840's goldrush, only 1000 times bigger! Soon, the Mexican government would have to deal with all these illegals, enjoying benefits of their gold trees without having to be accountable to their government. The new immigrants would start to strain the system, as precious wealth and resources would leave the country and Mexican citizens would start clamoring for change. Or would they???

For the record, I am white, I have LOTS of Mexican friends and we have had LOTS of discussions about this topic. I also didn't know gringo was such a terrible word, man there are some angry people here

Since the Mexican immigration laws are much stricter than the USA and they shoot first and ask questions later it would never happen. And gold doesn't grow on trees here in the US its worked hard for and fought for. Its not given to anyone.
No one deserves anything they aren't entitled to. Not gold,not amnesty. My "gold" trees here in AZ belong to me and trust me, I'm like Ft. Knox,No ones getting any of my "gold" that's not legal and is just here for the "gold". Anyway...
The Mexican government would have already fenced off the gold trees(under heavy armed guard ) and only the already wealthy would have any access to them. Certainly not the poor people of Mexico or illegal aliens from America.
