URGENT!!! PLEASE HELP WITH COMPUTEr!?

Question

I left a microsoft Word Doc. minimized at the bottom of my computer, not saved. My Dad got on and clicked to exit out, but he said he saved it. I cant find the file/doc. anywhere on my computer. How can I looked up previous saved documents, or lost documents.
Please help!!!

& i dont know what he saved it under, but i do know the first 3 letters, because he said he just clicked saved.

you can do two things. Go to "start and then go to search. Then, click "all files and folders" then tipe the three letters that you know. It is going to search your computer but if that doesn't work go to new document on microsoft word and g to file. In the bottom there should be the last documents that you did. If that will not work either then your dad probably didn't save it.

The last few documents opened or saved should appear at the bottom of the File menu in the recent documents section.

Alternatively: START> Search> All files or folders> type "*.doc" (without quotes). This will search for all files ending with .doc.
