Is Hydrogyn the synthetic form of hydrogen?
Hydrogen is renewable.

When we talk about something being renewable we usually mean that it's naturally renewable. If that definition is applied then it's a partially renewable resource. Nature produces some hydrogen, humans produce the rest through various chemical and electrical processes.

If all the hydrogen we used were taken purely from natural resources then the supply would, in time, become depleted and in that respect it would be non-renewable. We manufacture much of the hydrogen we use so natural resources aren't threatened.

Debatable.

Theoretically, we could perpetuately create hydrogen to use as fuel. The problem is that we have to actually create it- hydrogen molecules by themselves are highly reactive and aren't found often if at all in nature. The process of "creating" hydrogen is really separating the hydrogen from something else, water for example. And doing that separation requires energy. Where we get that initial energy from is the crux of whether or not it's a renewable resource.

In theory it is a renewable resource, but it takes energy to make it. This energy now comes from non-renewable resources. Hydrogen for vehicle fuels, etc. does not appear to be a very realistic solution to oil shortages or climate change

renewable

Hydrogen is energy-efficent and can provide electricity for running buses, cars, houses, and other buildings. Hyrdrogen has low envrionmental impact and renewable if produced from renewable energy resources. It is a good substitute for oil and easier to store than electricity. However, it is not found in nature and can become nonrenewable if it is generated by fossil fuels or nuclear power.

Overall, hydrogen is considered a renewable resource.
