You forgot the most imprtant part....
Jesus said, "Love your neighbor AS yourself!"

We are all One and in Unity with each other. We are all reflections of Self. The outward is a reflection of the inward.

It is when we see others as pure reflections of ourselves that we start to open our minds to the truths that Jesus spoke.

All people that we interact with in any way are our neighbors. This includes your brother, your next-door neighbor, the guy you call at the cable company, Donald Trump, and the people in Iraq. Jesus was encouraging a certain state of being rather than a moral imperative. This state comes about when we live in the knowledge that are all sinners and equal in the eyes of the Lord, that Kingdom of God is close at hand, and that we can only be "saved" through grace.

He explained that...

Luke 10:25 One day an authority on the law stood up to put Jesus to the test. “Teacher,” he asked, “what must I do to receive eternal life?”
26 “What is written in the Law?” Jesus replied. “How do you understand it?”
27 He answered, “‘Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul. Love him with all your strength and with all your mind.’ And, ‘Love your neighbor as you love yourself.’”
28 “You have answered correctly,” Jesus replied. “Do that, and you will live.”
29 But the man wanted to make himself look good. So he asked Jesus, “And who is my neighbor?”
30 Jesus replied, “A man was going down from Jerusalem to Jericho. Robbers attacked him. They stripped off his clothes and beat him. Then they went away, leaving him almost dead. 31 A priest happened to be going down that same road. When he saw the man, he passed by on the other side. 32 A Levite also came by. When he saw the man, he passed by on the other side too.
33 But a Samaritan came to the place where the man was. When he saw the man, he felt sorry for him. 34 He went to him, poured olive oil and wine on his wounds and bandaged them. Then he put the man on his own donkey. He took him to an inn and took care of him. 35 The next day he took out two silver coins. He gave them to the owner of the inn. ‘Take care of him,’ he said. ‘When I return, I will pay you back for any extra expense you may have.’
36 “Which of the three do you think was a neighbor to the man who was attacked by robbers?”
37 The authority on the law replied, “The one who felt sorry for him.”
Jesus told him, “Go and do as he did.”

The crowds following Jesus anticipated that the priest and then the Levite would be the 'hero' of Jesus' story, but that was not the case. You could quite possibly have heard gasps from those listening to him when he mentioned a Samaritan, but he WAS to be the hero.

Notice that the Jews would not speak to or help in any way a Samaritan, or would routinely travel about twice the distance each way between Galilee and Jerusalem to avoid contact with them, yet Jesus chose this person to make a point with his audience.

29 But, wanting to prove himself righteous, the man said to Jesus: “Who really is my neighbor?” 30 In reply Jesus said: “A certain man was going down from Jerusalem to Jer′i·cho and fell among robbers, who both stripped him and inflicted blows, and went off, leaving him half-dead. 31 Now, by coincidence, a certain priest was going down over that road, but, when he saw him, he went by on the opposite side. 32 Likewise, a Levite also, when he got down to the place and saw him, went by on the opposite side. 33 But a certain Sa·mar′i·tan traveling the road came upon him and, at seeing him, he was moved with pity. 34 So he approached him and bound up his wounds, pouring oil and wine upon them. Then he mounted him upon his own beast and brought him to an inn and took care of him. 35 And the next day he took out two de·nar′i·i, gave them to the innkeeper, and said, ‘Take care of him, and whatever you spend besides this, I will repay you when I come back here.’ 36 Who of these three seems to you to have made himself neighbor to the man that fell among the robbers?” 37 He said: “The one that acted mercifully toward him.” Jesus then said to him: “Go your way and be doing the same yourself.”

Our neighbours people other than ourselves.

The statement, "love your neighbor as yourself" is not a command to "love yourself." It is natural and normal to love yourself. The fact that the vast majority of people in the world care for their own needs is testament to the fact that "love for self" is not lacking. The statement, "love your neighbor as yourself" is essentially saying, "treat other people as good as you treat yourself." We are to take our eyes off of ourselves and care for others. At the same time, self-hate is equally unbiblical. The Bible nowhere instructs us to hate ourselves.

All of mankind. Regardless of their religion or lack of it...regardless of their moral standards or lack of them...we are to love all people. That does not however mean that we have to like them. There is a vast difference.
