Don't lead him on. He will only get more attached and heartbroken. You just need to be honest with him. Let him know that you appreciate him but that you are just not "in" love with him. Maybe you thought over time that you could spark an interest but its just not working like you planned. No matter what he is going to be hurt but I'm sure you still want to remain friends so do it gently but firmed, it's a thin line but he will have to find out the hard way. Good luck!

You know Ive wasted a lot of time with the same issue. You know in your heart when you meet the right person. I have big regrets on wasting a lot of time with that someone I knew wasnt the one and trying to make it work. When your with the right one it just works. If you know he is not the one get out of it. He might like you a lot but your probably not the one for him either.

Just simply tell it to him that you are not intrested.
If he is a lot older than you ( more than 6 -10 years) he most likely is just using for something.

Tell him the truth, honestly and kindly. Tell him that you appreciate his kindness, but you're sorry, you just don't feel that spark for him.
