At work, in our society..all I seem to see is backstabbing, politics and vengeance.

This isn't the place to find nice people, ask a question here and you get your head ripped off and handed back to you. Or you get reported. I know some people on here are decent but as you can see by some of the answers you have here it only takes a couple of little losers to screw it up for everyone else

The best way to deal with life is that you don’t deal with it. Life never takes you serious. You want to do something and it becomes hard. So why take life so serious? It has to pass and it will pass. If you hold on to something then you won’t be able to do anything, and your life will pass. So just let things go and move on. Just do whatever you want to do. People will slow you down, but they can’t stop you, unless you stop yourself because of people. And if this is the situation today, imagine what will be scenario tomorrow.

Here a little thing I made, its the only comfort that I can offer:

People are often unreasonable, illogical, and self-centered;
Forgive them anyway.

If you are kind,
People may accuse you
Be kind anyway.

If you are successful,
You will win some false friends and some true enemies;
Succeed anyway.

If you are honest and frank,
People may cheat you;
Be honest and frank anyway.

What you spend years building,
Someone could destroy overnight;
Build anyway.

If you find serenity and happiness,
they may be jealous;
Be happy anyway.

The good you do today,
People will often forget tomorrow;
Do good anyway.

Give the world the best you have,
and it may never be enough;
Give the world the best you've got anyway.

You see, in the final analysis,
is between you and your conscience;
It was never between you and them anyway.

Of course, we don’t know the outcome of our actions. We don’t know what will happen after an year, or tomorrow, or even in next hour. Yet, we continue to do what we must do, hoping that everything will be all right. Just gear up and get things in focus.

I feel like that sometimes as well. Or perhaps a lot of the time.
I do my best to avoid getting involved in such scenarios.
I avoid watching the news, or reading newspapers, where they highlight those sort of things.

I avoid soap operas, which also highlight those type of things.
I do my best to be kind to people, and also to be diplomatic, but I also speak up if someone is mean or rude or nasty to me if it's important, say if it is happening a lot, or at work where I am a lot. I will take things far only if it is serious. And take it to a superior, the police, whoever needs to be told for it to be sorted.

If it's a little thing, I walk on and put it out of my mind. Or laugh at the little things. It's actually very funny what some people say or do when it's little things.

My grandad always tells me it's water off a duck's back. He has the best attitude, he's kind, and generous, and I admire him so much. He's right. I have to let things go more, and not let them get to me. It's easier said than done, but I'm getting better at letting it slide. I watch a lot of comedy shows, which I love, and they show how absurd life is, how petty people are, and how funny people's behaviour is. Comedy shows help my own attitude I find. So does making fun of situations, and laughing about them.

you know something? I ALWAYS seem to be asking myself this same question! I can't seem to find any decent person in my community..everyone is out for themselves..and they appreciate nothing at all. sometimes i feel so alone, doesn't anybody want to do good in the world anymore? I honestly cant stand backstabbing - it disgusts me. vengeance is growing more and more by the second. if you ever need a friend or even, someone to talk to, i'm always here.

People in old times were really great and they appreciate each others work and effort. now the situations is changed a lot, there is a lot of competition everywhere. In order to compete ...some people do that.

Never mind...it is some people's habit to do criticize, make bad comments and try to let them down.

They are everywhere! You just never hear about them because they are not worthy of mention as far as the media is concerned! I have wonderful grown up kids and their partners,a wonderful husband,great neighbours,and last but not least some pretty amazing friends. The only people who p---ss me off belong to the overpaid government offices,the do gooders(only in it for the publicity and glory types) and those who wish every one who does not agree with their religeon,class,lifestyle etc.bad feeling and bombing into oblivion.So much for tolerance and integration!

They're a dying breed. It's just not fashionable to be helpful, considerate, kind or respectful any more.

The brutal truth is good & decent doesn't get you anywhere - look at the 'successful' people - ruthless, mean, vindictive and selfish.

Goodness me, I've depressed myself now...

The world is filled with good people. Part of the problem is that we focus on the negative. If all you see is negative you may need to change your environment or change how you act and waht kind of behavior you invite.

Good, kind people are all around your area. Speak to more people, and you will soon find out the answer to your question. For example, when in line at the store, talk to someone next to you.

Need to work in a place like mine then, if you have a problem with someone and you try to slag them off behind their back your basically told to either get over it or confront the person.

I love my job
