How do I manually eject a tape from a video camera?

I've got a basic Sharp 500x digital zoom viewcam z home camcorder but the tape is stuck inside. The instructions on the screen say 'eject the tape' but I can't... any ideas? Thanks!

the tape transport mechanism is fragile and easily broken. take this to a repair shop, Sharp should be able to find one for you.

check for obstructions, my camcorder cannot eject tape when it is mounted on a tripod adaptor.
