How do I get a translator certificate?

You would have to be more specific in order to get a detailed answer. If you are in the US you can get a degree in translations. However, there is no unified system for certification of translators. Most known and respected certification is ATA (American Translators Association) certification. However, it's not offered to any language combination. They do offer certification for English-Spanish language pairs.

If you would like to work as a Spanish-English translator you do not necessarily need a certificate. However, obtaining ATA certification would be useful.

i believe they require courses for that. start at your local government level and ask what their policy is. it varies from state to state.
