the English get their cacao beans mostly from Africa, cause they have different kinds, from different states in Africa, they also get them from south America, their beans are also different , the British prepare their chocolates, different than other, here in Germany or Swiss, have different tastes too,the higher the cocoa percentage in the chocolate, the better and bitter it is, i like the 80 %- 90 % cocoa, the have very little sugar but a great taste, the states might get their cocoa beans from the same places, but just use regular recipes of preparation,

The Chocolate made contained in the united statesand Asian markets is Made for storage and intake at greater temperatures than that of the united kingdom! hence the style isn't as sturdy! Corn Sugar is likewise the main element and not Cane Sugar as contained in the united kingdom!Which very much impacts how the chocolate is breaks and tastes!

That is totally a matter of taste. I hate British chocolate. I find it far too sweet. The Brits actually eat more chocolate (per person) than we do in the states.

You can find good chocolates in the states, just make sure that on the listed ingredients that cocoa is listed as the first ingredient, that makes a big difference.

Depends upon the brand.
The most widely available chocolates in the US, Hershey's for example, uses a lot of sugar. In my opinion, kind of takes away from the real chocolate taste.
No real proof, just my opinion.

Because american chocolate has a lot more sugar in it than european chocolate, so you are tasting more sugar and less of the taste of real rich chocolate... it also makes you eat more becasue its less rich...
