My kids walked in on me and my husband having sex what should i do?
the kids are 5, 6, & 8

What help are you looking for? I think this society places too much emphasis on sex. So they saw you. It doesn't need to be thought of as dirty or embarrassing. It's a part of life and now you have an opportunity to explain it at age appropriate levels. Obviously the way you explain it to the 5 year won't be the same as the 8 year old. It'll be okay, they're certainly not scarred for life or anything.

I only have 1 child but we 1) lock the door and 2) make sure she is either asleep or watching a movie in the living room.
You might be best to stick to times when the kids are gone or asleep and definitely lock the door!
As to explaining what you were doing...? That will depend on your comfort level and the children's ability to comprehend. Whatever you do, don't lie to them.
