Buddhists believe that all life is equally sacred and that our choices of how to live are ours. No heaven or hell, no sin, just living and doing no harm.

Are you talking normative homosexuality or sexual inversion? Many ancient societies - and their surviving religions - took a very positive attitude toward what we might call bisexuality; I don't know of any that actually considered sexual inversion ( gays in contemp parlance) to be a desirable thing, although persecution was apparently rare. Native American tribes often considered cross-dressers a natural for shamanism, but other than that,I don't know of any religion or culture actually taking the view that inversion was positive - just that it wasn't negative. Ours is the only culture to dichotomize the matter - good/bad. Personally as a Christian I've always tolerated bisexuality and as far a gays are concerned, well live & let live. I could never understand conservative antipathy, but also liberal bug-eyed enthusiasm, like it was going to save humanity.

The only religions I know of that attack specific groups like that are the big monotheistic ones. Other than that, at least Buddhism and to my knowledge Hinuism, don't have a problem with it at all, although ideally an enlightened person wouldn't need any kind of sexual desire to be happy.

I am not sure that everyone in my religion preaches the same, but I would like to share my personal belief on the matter.
I believe that people have a freedom to choose who they want to be. They can choose to be anything they can imagine, and should not be judged on that. They should be judged on the content of their character and what they have done to help others. If being gay means they are harming the lives of others, then it would not be good at all. So far, however, I have seen nothing that promotes that line of thought.
Get back to me with your belief. I am interested to know.

Buddhism: Sexuality, as long as it's not used for harm or to cause suffering, isn't an issue. Of course, those in monasteries take a vow of celibacy, and are supposed to keep them per the Vinaya.
