I keep my focus on Christ, where it belongs.
Satan wants us to lose focus.
You know what? Those people are NOT perfect, and they get caught when they are not really teaching God's Word.

Televangelists have a way of turning people away from the faith rather than encouraging them towards it. I have a hard time watching them for a while because they tend to get extremely arrogant, highly intolerant, and really make a bad face for Christians. I can imagine someone whose never heard of Christianity before finding one of these programs. I think they'd be convinced that this is a religion they could never belong to, and probably wouldn't have too impressive opinion about Christians in general. Thankfully I know better.
Now, I have to say that there is one televangelist I enjoy but I don't see her very much. I can't remember her name but she reminds me alot of my grandfather's sister, and although she gets motivated and confident, I've never felt she was arrogant. But unfortunately the others dominate the spotlight.

Yes. The other aspects are,why is the mass media giving them such a high profile, and are they being financed by Israel, which has more or less admitted their embassy is financing Christians United For Israel. Fundamentalism was pretty small potatoes before 1948 and did not deceive anyone into regarding them as the presumed centerpeice of the Christian faith; is it a coincidence that their heavily-financed "arrival" starts up around the late 40's but really comes around in the late 60's in direct correlation to vastly increased funding for Israel? No plot here, just suggesting the Izzies are chucking a lot of that foreign aid they get from us back this-a-way. But to the main, yes, obviously they are doing horrendous damage to the prestige and dignity of Christ's teaching, particularly when they espouse ludicrously out-of-date views and teach a garbled theology that more closely resembles messianic judaism than Christianity.

I am not sure if angry is the emotion or attitude that I have but I am very sorrowful for the false teaching and image they give of Christ and his teachings.
I think that a lot of the criticism and doubt that is seen on Y!A is a result of the televangelist work.

I don't spend a great deal of time watching or listening to any particular televangelist but yes, sometimes I do feel anger towards them when it is clear that they are working towards the fulfillment of their own agenda rather than working toward the fulfillment of God's agenda. Although I'm sure many of them are decent people who believe in God, many others seem to be more interested in making money or having power than in leading others to God's way of doing things.
And, they make gread fodder for atheists.

I personally know about 90% of the televangelists. I used to sell to them and I would not P on any of them if they were on fire.

Science,
Not everyone who comes in the name of the Christ, is of the Kingdom of God. The Bible says that in the last days, many false prophets, and false christs would appear, to mislead many into apostasy. They are wolves in sheep's clothing, devouring widows houses. Like the scribes and pharisees before them, they have their reward already. Whatever glory and wealth they have taken in this world, is all they will ever have. They will lose their chance to live for eternity, through their selfish pursuit of the things of this world. On that Day, He will say, " I never knew you. Depart from me, you who practice lawlessness"., Far be it from me to judge anyone. That is the Lord's job. I'm just telling you what the Bible says.

Not so much angry, more like dissappointed. It's hard to say if they relize they are causing more harm then good. Some of them know it and are simply misleading people on purpose. They really need to read the warnings given to those who do that sort of thing, it's not pretty.

Yes, yes, yes! I'm really sick of televangelist "sheep" and "shepherds" that are really Big-Business, warmongering, bigotted, Far-Right-Republican wolves inside.
That does NOT go for all of them, but that certainly goes for quite a few of them!

Why don't we worry about what we are doing, ourselves, to our own faith, and stop worrying what others are doing to it?
Turning our focus on what other people are "doing wrong" only adds to the ever increasing judgements going around in this world.
Stop judging others and judge yourselves!
