Kayla: ask a cop? are cops the new messiahs? cops enforce the law of society, which changes frequently - something that is legal today may be illegal tomorrow, and v.v. "cops" enforced the law of slavery when it was legal

I don't buy into the sin myth. I don't base how to live my life on a book.

Yes it can, for those who are truly ignorant of God's law. But there are certain things like murder, adultery, stealing, etc. that people and leaders around the world condemn as being wrong. So don't confuse ignorance of God as being the same thing as being ignorant of God's LAW.

Second, God does not automatically "forgive you no matter what." To be forgiven, you must be truly accountable and sorry for your sins and show some sort of repentance for them.

If you're interested in learning more, I'd recommend reading "Crossing the Threshold of Hope" by Pope John Paul II. Alot of this sort of stuff is covered there, and Its a pretty quick read.

No. For example; the animal killers do not know that in the future he will be killed. That is the law of nature. In human society, if one kills a man he has to be hanged. That is the law of the state. Because of ignorance, people do not perceive that there is a complete state controlled by the Supreme Lord. Every living creature is a son of the Supreme Lord, and He does not tolerate even an ant's being killed. One has to pay for it. So indulgence in animal killing for the taste of the tongue is the grossest kind of ignorance. A human being has no need to kill animals, because God has supplied so many nice things. If one indulges in meat-eating anyway, it is to be understood that he is acting in ignorance and is making his future very dark. Of all kinds of animal killing, the killing of cows is most vicious because the cow gives us all kinds of pleasure by supplying milk. Cow slaughter is an act of the grossest type of ignorance. In the Vedic literature. There is also a prayer in the Vedic literature that states:
namo brahmaëya-deväya
go-brähmaëa-hitäya ca
jagad-dhitäya kåñëäya
govindäya namo namaù
"My Lord, You are the well-wisher of the cows and the brähmanas, and You are the well-wisher of the entire human society and world." (Vishnu Puräna 1.19.65) The purport is that special mention is given in that prayer for the protection of the cows and the brähmanas. Brähmanas are the symbol of spiritual education, and cows are the symbol of the most valuable food; these two living creatures, the brähmanas and the cows, must be given all protection—that is real advancement of civilization. In modern human society, spiritual knowledge is neglected, and cow killing is encouraged. It is to be understood, then, that human society is advancing in the wrong direction and is clearing the path to its own condemnation. The present human civilization is, of course, grossly misled by the modes of passion and ignorance. It is a very dangerous age, and all nations should take care to provide the easiest process, Krishna consciousness, to save humanity from the greatest danger.

First of all sin against the will of God is above all else the worst kind of offence possible, commiting a driving offence is nothing like the same thing at all.
To sin there must be 3 elements involved;
1. you have to have full knowledge of the sin you are about to commit.
2. you must give your free consent to it,
3. you then carry out the sin regardless of the first two.
When these are in place you will have commited serious sin, and need to seek immediate forgiveness by sincere repentance.
There are many times when we commit offences but because we did not intend to and did not consent to do them they are not serious sins at all.

God is a God of justice. Meaning, He can do no wrong. He certainly will not hold someone accountable for not knowing the truth. But, unfortunately there are many people who deceive themselves and pretend they don't know, so that they can live their lives freely. But, however much you deceive yourself, you cannot deceive God, because He knows the hearts.
No, you cannot decide for yourself what's sin and what's not because the Bible has it all written in there for you. There are many who don't wish to follow the Bible's counsel, but they will be judged by God accordingly.
Yes, our God is a forgiving Father, but by no means will he exempt from punishment.

It is a sin if you are aware that you are doing wrong. Sins keep you away and distant from God, so it is not a good idea to say since God forgives us, lets do what we want! We will become distant from Him and unable to have a relationship with Him.

No it does not.

BUT,

when it comes to sin, everyone who sins knows it. James tells us:

To him that knoweth to do good and doeth it not, to

HIM (NOT ANYONE ELSE BUT TO HIM,)

it is sin. Sin is missing the mark and that mark is the mark of holiness. Because all have been born with the nature of Adam when he disobeyed. All persons who have not been born from above, can

NOT

help but keep missing the mark.

Until the nature with which a person is born with is radically executed by God, and immediately replaced by God's Holy spirit, sin will keep on happening. The person can maybe do better, but they will keep sinning in some way or form; be it visible or in the mind or in attitude.

The new nature that Jesus talked about with Nicodemas is a God nature where they will be able to

CHOOSE,

to live free from sin as opposed to

NOT,

being able to live free from sin; even though they try not to sin.

Morality is oftentimes understood in all cultures. maximum persons comprehend it incredibly is incorrect to kill or harm human beings, to cheat or scouse borrow from others, be sexually irresponsible, and so forth. many human beings justify doing what they understand to be incorrect. yet, whilst we sin against our very own judgment of right and incorrect, we've somewhat sinned. In those issues we are able to be held to blame for our works in mortality, in accordance to our know-how. in spite of the undeniable fact that, God does no longer carry us to blame for no longer doing issues we don't understand approximately, or doing issues we did no longer understand have been incorrect interior the eyes of God. as an occasion very few human beings, comparably, might have the prospect to settle for Jesus Christ and be baptized for the remission of sins whilst in mortality. God has made provisions for those human beings. See under.

No it dose not, you can sin and may not know it. When I pray I ask God to forgive all of my sins and help me to understand the ones I didn't know I did.
God wants us to read his word and grow. When you first become a christian you are reborn but you are not suppose to stay ignorant of his ways.

This depends. You obviously believe somewhat in God's law, and you know that sin is. You will surely be forgiven if you repent, and if you are unfamiliar with sin-read the Bible. You shold repent either way-because we all sin.

Ignorance of the Law is no excuse. Besides you have a conscience I assume. It tells you right from wrong because God placed it there.
