Yes, there is a risk. Check the list in the first link below, which lists medications that react badly with grapefruit juice. Birth control medications are definitely included. You should ask your doctor about the specific brand you are using, because it is possible there are some brands that are safe.

Normally you are not supposed to eat or drink grapefruit while you are on any kind of medication, since there is something in the grapefruit that makes you absorb the medication faster (meaning that you are effectively getting a larger initial dose of medication than what the doctor intended).

Grapefruit and grapefruit juice do interact with many types of medication to increase the rate at which the medication is absorbed by the bloodstream. I don't think birth control pills are affected, though.

I have never had any issue....the only things I know of that can disrupt the pill's effectiveness are certain antibiotics or not taking it faithfully.
The paper insert that comes with your pills can clarify, but I've never heard of that, nor gotten pregnant after eating a grapefruit on the pill.

Then I they gave me something to placed me in menopause for 3 months. Then I had the myomectomy. even if having children or no longer i wanted it gone. They advised me they are going to advance again. in a large number of cases between 7-10 years they are going to commence starting to be again. i do not comprehend if taking birth control pills for a lengthy era of time is healthful or of the uncomfortable area effects. truly call your record and ask. desire this helps out! i think your soreness vast time!!

I know grapefruit lessens the effectiveness of some medication, you may want to ask your pharmicist.

Try as I might, I can't figure out any reason why there would be a risk! I would think you are safe.
