definatly the summer... because in the winter i tend to get short of breath quicker beacuse of the cold air....even thought its harder to run in the summer i just think...the more i sweat....the more weight i lose...so i use that as an incentive

Winter. The question is really one of temperature regulation. In winter you can perfectly add or remove layers of clothing so as to be comfortable. You must be prepared, but you don't have to spend a fortune on clothing.

In summer you can't regulate your temperature as perfectly. You can only remove so much clothing, pour so much water on yourself, and run so early in the morning or late at night.

To dispell a myth: cold air is not bad for your lungs (though it may worsen your asthma, if you have asthma). People run outdoors in very extreme temperatures. The lowest I've heard of is -40. I've done -31.

The best parts of winter running are the beauty and solitude. So few people run in winter that you should feel hardcore and remember that your year-round training will give you the edge over the fair weather runners you'll compete against in better weather.

It's definitely a catch-22; when it's summer, I desperately want it to be winter, and vice versa. I actually despise running in either season around here; it's either literally 100 degrees, or is just...freezing. I guess I'd rather run in the summer, just because in the mornings and evenings it's usually ok to run, since it's cooler; however, in the winter, it's always cold.

I live in New Orleans. Truthfully, I enjoy both the best. I like running in the winter because it is definitely not as hot as the summer. However, I get cold easily so I find myself wishing for summer to come. Once summer comes, I like that it's warm again but I start to miss the cold. It's a neverending cycle for me.

No question...I'd rather run in the winter. I hate the heat. I"ll take a snowy 20 degree day anytime over an 80-90 degree day with the sun burning down on me.

I would rather run when it is cooler. So, I would rather run in the Winter, but it would have to be a sunny day with just a hint of fresh snow on the ground.

Summer. Cool summer nights are without a doubt the best, warm summer rains inspire you, hot summer days make you sweat and feel empowered, early summer mornings are full of life.

i rather winter because you can increase your strength plus you can adapt to the weather in case you have a track meet in that certain time and summer too to adapt to the hot weather it all depends on how much you can push yourself to do some thing

I believe the best season to run is fall.

The sun still keeps you warm while you run, but the temperature is nice and cool, but if I have to choose probably summer since I am acustom to it .
