As the line from Nirvana...
"I'm so horny, but that's ok because my Will is Good!"

This speaks truth into all of us, I believe. We are all "horny" to the ways of the flesh (our carnal/animalistic natures), but I think the Will has a lot to do with our own "Goodness." For I believe our Will is the spiritual side of us trying to come out.

Physically - We are all sinners, that is a given.
Spiritually - I think more people have a Good Will than they give themselves credit for.

Since I'm an atheist, the spooky language of the first three commandments doesn't count.
I respected my parents when they deserved it.
I've never killed anything larger than a mouse (I didn't invite her to live with me).
I haven't stolen anything since I was a kid. Unless you count the occasional pen from work.
I didn't fool around when I was married. Consensual, non-marital sex between adults in a committed relationship is not a sin. Religion needs to stop obsessing about it.
I don't gossip, because it's disrespectful. We need to keep our own yards clean before we start cleaning up someone else's.
Coveting what others have is the basis if our economy. It's why we work, to make money to buy stuff.
Coveting some other guy's wife is human nature. As long as nothing comes of it (so to speak) it's not a sin. Trying to control human nature has always been the weakness of religion, and why it always fails.
So yes, I am a good person. I have the respect of my peers and the praise of my employer. I am comfortable in my own skin. I don't need your gods, nor your gods' arbitrary rules.

Keeping the ten commandments doesn't make you good. The Bible said, for while we were yet sinners Christ died for us. The ten commandments were still in effect and was there before Jesus' death. See Roman 4:13 "God's promise to gave the whole earth to Abraham and his descendants was based not on his obedience to God's law but on a right relationship with God that comes by faith."

I don't have to go through them to answer...it is clearly No. There is no such thing as a truly "good" person even though as a Christian I do try really hard. We all have been guilty at one time or another of breaking each and every one of the commandments in thought if not in deed. I am very grateful for the forgiving nature of my Lord. Without it, I would be surely lost.

Yes I am a good person and the most important of the christian ten commandments - no killing, no stealing are common sense. Since I'm not christian things like having 'no other gods before me' mean nothing to me.

"Teacher, which is the greatest commandment in the Law?” 37 He said to him: “‘You must love Jehovah your God with your whole heart and with your whole soul and with your whole mind.’ 38 This is the greatest and first commandment. 39 The second, like it, is this, ‘You must love your neighbor as yourself.’ 40 On these two commandments the whole Law hangs, and the Prophets."

What you may have done in the past does not mean that you can't be a good person in the present and the future. All is dynamic. Whether you are good or not depends entirely upon your last action.

Yes and yes.

It doesn't say who you should not kill. I killed insects, would that make me a bad person?

Either way, I'm not a Christian so the commandments don't really matter to me. Some of it it's the law anyway.

Yea.

I do not kill.
I do not lie.
I honor my mother and father.
I do not commit adultry.
I keep the sabbath day holy.
I love my neighbors and my enemies.
I do not honor any other God.
I do not use the Lord's name in vain.
I do not worship any other idols.
I do not steal.

So I say I'm a pretty good person all in all.
