Mine eat everything in sight even though I'd prefer them not to chew on each other. My vet said most dog food is fine but since my two dogs are on the bigger side, don't feed them wet, canned food. Gets expensive and they are healthy even if they eat Purina Dog Chow.

They are omnivores with complex nutritional needs. The best food for a dog is a high quality dog kibble bought from your vet office or a pet store. Many grocery store brands are the equivalent of feeding your dog pizza and ice cream every day (while enjoyable, it is not the healthiest).

What *do* they eat? Or what *should* they eat?
My lab will eat anything he can get his paws on, but the only thing I let him eat is dog food.

A good quality dog food. I prefer ones with no grain for my dogs, but at least ones with no corn, wheat and soy for sure. And definitely no by products for my crew.
