I think it's ridiculous. And the bullsh** about them only wanting to work is ridiculous, too. If they want to work, why are they eating up the welfare rolls? And any work they want to do only qualifies them as low income workers, making them eligible for handouts. They are running a major scam in the name of being "hard workers" and only wanting to work. They want a life on welfare and of handouts which is a low life, but better than what they left behind.

Illegal Immigrants - no they should not be rewarded with citizenship just because they are protesting and marching. Who is going to pay all those business owners for their losses today. These people have come here and continue to come here illegally and continue to break all the rules and steal identities. They have to try and improve their country so they can stay there and have a good life. Even though they come over here they do not improve their way of life. Look at some of the neighborhoods that they have taken over - run down and ten families living in one house.

They figure we'll do it /because we've done it before/. Actions speak louder than words. 3 million illegals were made American citizens in the last Amnesty. The argument was that, once those who were already here were naturalized, there would be less trying to cross the border (after being deported, or as migrants, for instance), enforcement would be more manageable, and we wouldn't have an illegal alien problem anymore.
There are now 12+ million illegal aliens demanding a new amnesty.
And why not, it worked so well the last time!

Truly, I'm sorry your sons aren't home for Thanksgiving. I don't carry picket signs, but I do lobby. If it ever seems effective to carry a picket sign I'll consider it, but that has never really been the case in this country. People talk about the civil rights marches, but it took the Supreme Court to guarantee rights to black citizens. We have to build grass roots candidates, and that will take longer than the 2008 election, unfortunately. However, it isn't a game, it just seems not to be going anywhere for a bit, nationally. They are digging their trenches and none of them merge into a solution. Suppose they pass the SAVE act in the House. Where do you think it is going to go in the time they have left? Oh, I'm watchful for a miracle, but I'm not expecting one.

Why must you look at it as a matter of reward. They are not asking for a reward. Fact of the matter is that the immigration laws now a days are not helping people immigrate. There is no opportunity if you don't have someone petition for you or an education. The truth is that many people immigrated into this country and now this country faces a big problem and I BELIEVE that a good solution would be to change the laws.

Criminals should have no rights. Period. None. I'm Canadian and trust me, if you follow the path that we've taken regarding immigration, your country will be in as much trouble as ours. Yea, here, it's okay to advertise jobs "for visible minorities only," "for lesbians only"--I was born here, my parents were born here...5 generations of my family are Canadian. I have a Master's degree, and I'm unemployed, but I can assure you that my former workplace is in no short supply of people to fill my role--not one of them a generation away from their own countries of origin. It makes me sick. I wish my government would give priority to people who actually know the language, are educated, and have some knowledge and respect for the country before they kowtow to people who could give two shits about Canada. Legal or illegal, immigrants would never have in their own countries what they have here, but they are constantly slagging Canada. I say shut the borders down and allow those of us with the skills to work the ability to work instead of being second class citizens to non-citizens.

I dont think they should get any kind of amnesty,If they have children born here, and they care about them that much, they should take them with them.I really dont think these protests are for a real cause, but for a show of force,"look what we can do" a sort of prison menality, respect us or else.I truly blame the media, and business, whom whore for the latino dollar,by catering to the spanish speaking population,I have nothing against immigrants............only illegal immigrants and they should not posess any rights

Because to deny them would be unthinkable in todays society . Liberals and bleeding hearts protect the masses . Mean while on the southern border of Mexico ,Central American immigrants are being jailed and thrown back to their countries . A little ironic ... dontcha' think ?

The american constitution says if a Law is unfair the people can change that law.
These people only want to WORK, you can't put in a same category a person who come to the USA to work like if they are criminals, they are not demanding the right to kill or steal, only the right to WORK.
I think the USA should change some laws about immigration. The reality is that 12 million people can't be illegals anymore.
