In some countries, Canada and the United Kingdom, the coroner is the person who holds a public inquiry into suspicious deaths and brings in recommendations to prevent similar incidents and possibly a verdict on the nature of the death. The medical examiner, is the person who performs the autopsy and from the physical evidence determines what was the cause of death. This has nothing to do with guilt or prevention.

A medical examiner is an MD who specializes in forensic medicine and usually pathology who actually does the autosy and exam of the dead body. A coroner in some areas of the country don't even have to be a doctor. It is an elected office. He just puts his signatire on autopsy reports signed by the medical examiner.

Coroner= Hey this guy is dead....he got shot in the chest.
Medical Examiner= This guy died at 7:14am from a 45caliber round at close range which appears to have ruptured the aorta. He died within 15 to 20 seconeds of injury. Judging from distance and lack of defensive wounds I would say he knew the shooter.

Medical examiner cuts the body up to check for clues. I don't think the coroner goes that far.

A medical examiner is a physician officially authorized by a governmental unit to ascertain causes of deaths, especially those not occurring under natural circumstances.
A coroner is a public officer whose primary function is to investigate by inquest any death thought to be of other than natural causes.

Great question!
After analizing both terms I came with a reasonable list of conclusions as to what the difference may be.
Letter count:
coroner: 7 letters
medical examiner: 15 letters
Spaces:
coroner: None
medical examiner: 1
vowels/consonant letters count
coroner: 4 consonant 3 vowels
medical examiner: 8 consonant 7 vowels
These are very subtle differences indeed.

you are able to no longer learn a guy to a girl. each is diverse. yet a guy, and a woman, supplement one yet another. In different words, one guy and one lady (at the same time) is one unit. they seem to be a complementary pair.
