You're off to a great start! Good for you! I don't know exactly what it is you're doing at the gym, but you could lose anywhere from 1 to a few pounds a week. You don't want to lose anymore than that or you might get sick. It takes time but you will do it. I had a client who lost 90 pounds in a years time and he did walk but not everyday, so he did well. His food was portioned out properly for him. Good luck!

Well, how much do you weigh? Take that # and multiply it by 10. If you weight 150 lbs your BMR would be 1500 and then add 250 calories to that for digestion and absorbtion. 1500+250=1750. That is the amount of calories your body uses up from daily activity.. with no extra effort.
A pound of fat is equal to 3500 calories. So 3500-1750=1750. So you need to get rid of 1750 to lose 1 lb. So say you eat a diet of 1500 calories you create a deficit of 250 calories from your BMR. That means in one week of eating 1500 calories daily you will lose 1 lb. And that's without exercise. So now add in the exercise. If you want a definate number try buying a heart rate monitor to calculate how many calories you burn at the gym.
With that kind of diet and exercise you will probably lose about 2-3 lbs per week. Don't get discouraged if the scale doesn't start moving right away. Keep it up and you will definately see good results.

I've tried many diets and couldn't make anything work. Since having my first child, I've been carrying around an extra 30 pounds. This diet just made sense and showed me that everything I was doing before was wrong and a waste of my time.
The plan was so refreshing and so simple to follow. I did everything plan said and lost 23 pounds in the first three weeks. I'm now starting the diet again to lose 7 more pounds. This plan has changed my life.
Get started today!

Yes, but make sure those 1500 calories are QUALITY calories. Avoid sugar and white flour products. Although some of these foods may be low fat and low calorie, they cause your blood sugar to spike and then quickly drop making you hungry.
Rememer that slogan "No diet in the world will help you lose weight until you do one thing. Control your appetite." Well if you steer clear of simple carbs, you'll be A LOT less hungry and be able to stick to your calorie total.
Include some protein into every meal. Also include some good fats (olive oil, fish oil). It is essential to your body and will help you feel fuller longer. Fiber also helps you feel fuller longer. And remember to drink lots of water.

It depends on the intensity of your workout and your current weight.
However, regardless of your workouts and size, I would not go low-fat. Your body needs fat, and it helps keep you satiated. As long as your calories are at an appropriate level, you should use healthy fats (olive oil, flax oil, butter) as needed.

if you are eating 1,500 callories a day, you probably will lose some weight but only about a pound a week (not even). you should try 1,200 to 1,300 a day, and you will probably lose a pound or 2 a week. (if that is what you want)

Yes, but if you start working out more, you really need to make sure you are getting enough calories so you can burn them off.
