If looking to rent there are a number of places you can rent a campervan from. Do a quick search of the websites below for quotes.

Another cheaper way is to book with http://www.standbycars.com.au/default.aspx?rental=Campervans
There are a "last minute" booking service (like those last minute hotel websites) and list all the rental companies and prices. You can book up to 21 days in advance.

http://www.britz.com.au/

http://www.autorentals.com.au/

http://www.maui.com.au/

http://www.apollocamper.com/

Hope this helps.

If you are looking at buying try http://www.carsales.com.au/?__N=900+25&category=4
Click on private cars, choose your state, and type in "campervan" in the keyword section.

Check out a company called wicked campers - they have an excellent website with references provided by o/seas renters
The artwork on the vans has to be seen to be believed - you also have the advantage of getting plenty of notice from the local population!
Enjoy your time here!

If you want to buy and sell when you leave, try the trading post
www.tradingpost.com.au

Or there is a company called Wicked vans who have campers that are all painted up. Look pretty cool
