I'm amazed by how people like the person above assume that you are going to be selling the puppies and assume that everyone is as hung up on pedigrees as she is. Mutts RULE, pure breds drool. Ok, actually all dogs drool. The fact is though that since it would seem you don't really keep track of your dog, that I wouldn't be surprised if another dog had already mated with her. Just don't be surprised if you end up with a Husky/Chihuahua mix. ;)
And yes... the gestation is about 9 weeks, but you should start to notice before then. A vet can sometimes tell within the first 4 weeks by feeling her belly. Usually, there is noticeable weight gain at 5 weeks for a large litter, later for 1 or 2 pups. Mammary glands may also swell about the same time although it's not really noticeable until later.
She also may pick up some "bad" habits like shredding things (newspapers, blankets, clothing... ). This is just her instinct to nest. It's very common. Also, keep her away from children near the end of the pregnancy as mothers-to-be (dog and human alike) have a tendency to snap at people as the due date gets closer.
Don't bother bringing her in to the vet as they won't be able to tell you anything for a while yet. Just add some protein to her diet (liver, eggs, etc) and keep an eye on her.

Sabrina I hope you weren't hoping for pure bred husky pups cause they won't be pure bred. Anyway, she most likely is pregnant but the only other way to really make sure is to take her to the vet. If she was able to get pregnant this go round are you going to have her spayed after she has the pups? I'm asking because I know of a lot of dogs that lose not only their looks (fur, weight etc) after they have puppies but they also lose their temperment. Good luck
BTW--Susan she never said she wanted to be a breeder, all she said was she wanted puppies. Why are you assuming that she's wanting to become a breeder?

Gestation for most dogs is 63 to 65 from the day of mating.

Wait a good 1-2 weeks and take her to the vet for a preg-test. Should only cost somewhere between 15-50 bucks..

I'm shocked at how many people think they can learn to be breeders from Yahoo Answers. No one wants to buy a dog of an accidental breeding. They want geneologies and medical histories for both dogs, results of temperament testing for both dogs, certification of hips and elbows, etc. Get the dog spayed.

Your dog mated with a pure bread? Doesn't sound healthy.

You should notice if she is pregnant. She will gain weight, eat more and look bigger as well. If she is pregnant her puppies will be born in 63-65 days.

If she stood still long enough for the act to happen, you are going to have puppies. If she wasn't receptive (in heat) she would have tried to eat his face off rather than let him mount her.

If you saw them mate, and you know the deed was done, you'll be a "grandma" in exactly 66 days.
