Makes me feel in agreement!
It is the word of God!
James 2:14
[ Faith Without Works Is Dead ] What good is it, my brothers, if someone says he has faith but does not have works? Can that faith save him?

-Also it makes me want to please God because of my faith! I want to do things for Him, I want Him to lead me and guide me every step of the way!

That you are correct for the most part. I can have faith that my car will start but, without me going and starting it up, it's not gonna happen, but there are times when that is wrong too. Some things i put my faith in and try to help, but when there is nothing i can do. God still comes through for me.

It brings to mind how this applies to so many religious groups. One example:

Matt. 28:19-"Go therefore and make disciples of people of all the nations, baptizing them...."

Does your religion actively GO therefore and make disciples, just as Jesus commanded? And do they do this in ALL the nations?

Matthew 24:14 "This good news of the kingdom will be preached in all the inhabited earth for a witness to all the nations; and then the end will come."

When you have FAITH... you believe in something and it becomes part of you. You depend upon it and it should be "second nature" and part of how you do thing... It is the basis of how you act and react to life... Your Faith directs your actions... your decisions, your choices because it is something you believe in so strongly, it is the foundation of your actions in life.. So having faith is like having a tool that you use in your daily life... in the works that you do in your life.

Makes me feel like my faith isn't really faith unless it makes me get up off my rear end and do something.

I agree with you. You need faith and works to make it to heaven. But with that said, you still need the Lord's grace as without that, nothing you do would help. He rewards us for our works.

Like you may understand that if we do nothing to act on our faith, it is like having no faith at all.
