it should have PROTEIN in it, that makes hair grow
remember to wash that stuff out because hair can't grow if some chemical is on your scalp.
it makes the hair hard and more likely to break (making hair shorter)
so uh....kind of yea

The purpose of hair gel is to hold a style or to set a style. If you have gel, it will increase hair growth because it is not tampered. However, it must be washed out to make sure that it does not break your hair. Do not comb or brush your hair with gel in it.

Yes it does. number one it has alcohol in it which thins your hair out, and breaks it off. Hair gel breaks of your edges and thins it out. try using hair Glaze or Jam. Its better. or if your going to use the gel make sure it does have alcohol and use a oil sheen or Vaseline with it to protect your hair.
