I will be in the Sauna tomorrow after Aqua Jogging. What are the benefits? Well with Arthritis, heat really helps with the pain, however I do not sweat in the Sauna, but a Steam room will have me dripping. Likewise obviously it raises core body temperature, so the blood thins. Some of the Gals like to cover themselves in 'baby oil' then go into the Sauna seems to help them with 'dry skin?' I stay in for about ten minutes before coming out to what I call the 'car wash' power shower, several jets that really do help the circulation and balance! I then return to the Steam, back to the shower, then Sauna, back to the shower than Steam. This lasts about one hour after which I consume pints of water. The skin looks cleaner, seems more younger and looks healthy. I have a 'bright glow' whatever that means. The additional benefit for me, the men who frequent the Sauna, that is a benefit!

Opens your pores which allows impuritans to leave your body along with the sweat and clears up your skin. You do need to trink a lot of water and limit the sessions to maybe 15 minutes as far as I know in order not to get dehydrated or dizzy.
