Jesus isn't waiting for anything...
It is mankind that is waiting for him, in error.
Jesus already said that the Kingdom of Heaven would not come upon this earth in the matter that carnal man predicts. Why? Because, as he said, the Kingdom is already at hand!
We must enter the Kingdom while still physically alive, thru the "strait gate" at the end of the "narrow path", and put to death our carnal natures (the thinking/culture of the physical world).

Jesus is waiting for all whose names are written in the Lamb's Book of Life to accept Him as Lord and Savior.
Rejected by His own Jewish nation, scriptures says that blindness is upon the Jews until all the Gentiles that are to receive Him, do receive Him.
Essentially, Jesus is waiting for that last Gentile believer to come into the fold.

Well, this Christian and all my cohorts do not. I am neither an end-timer or a fire and brimstoner. I really do not know anyone who truly knows what the book of Revelations means.
I also cannot speak for what God is waiting for...maybe for you to convert for all I know.

Jesus is waiting for Us to return back Home, to Heaven...
the bible and all the other religious "revelations" are BS...
Here's HOW to start Your journey back Home:
Create a private, personal, direct, divine Relationship with Our Creator and save your Soul from religion.
Love and Believe in Our Creator;
Love and Believe in Yourself.
Only with Our Creator's Love and Peace will we be Truly Free!
Without God, there is No Love; Without religion, there are No Wars!

The wait will be over when the last Publishing Contract is over, and since Tim LaHaye seems to be Immortal, that may be a while

When the time of the gentiles is complete.
Yes, many have said that. But they lacked one important ingredient. Israel was not a nation. That had to be in place before the return of Christ.

Jesus was just some guy; the end of times is ~4,700,000,000 years hence when the sun goes red-giant and the planet is engulfed in the sun's circumference. "Scare" is bang-on.
