I was told this morning that my cousin was touched by God and he has turned his whole life around. Not that he was a horrible person before. He just always had lots of women and did drugs (pot). Although I was raised a Catholic I am not too religious now and am just wondering how does this happen? How does someone wake up one day and completely change? He is like a totally differnet person. Don't get me wrong, I am happy for him but it's just a little weird to me. Can someone explain this to me...is it just a matter of faith?

Well sometimes people just don't like where their life is going and they want to change... but change can be uncomfortable and it's hard to bring about on your own.

Many people turn to outside factors as a catalyst for change. They often turn to religious beliefs as a sort of psychological anchor, something to give them inner strength enough to turn their life around. Religious beliefs could be christianity, buddhism, islam, hinduism, pagans, flying spaghetti monster or whatever, it really doesn't matter. What matters is that the belief is enough for them to pull themselves out of whatever they think they were in.

Now it is true that belief in anything will have the same effect, but people often come to see this incorrectly and believe that the particular belief they used is what made the difference and that it must therefore be true. So the unfortunate consequence here is that your cousin will now be a confirmed believer because it (as he sees it) saved him from his condition (even though anything would have).

Yes ma'am it is, just a matter of faith. He probably had many many people praying for him over the years. And it is by their faith that he has been healed. To stop the womanizing and the drugs. And one day he just woke up and realized that it was time to stop all that and get on with the rest of his life. It will be tough for him Im sure, he will need many more prayers and get into the word of God.

He was saved and knew that the old man was replaced with a new one. That is not to say he will not sin again, but having a personal relationship with Jesus is unexplainable. There are many doubters, but Jesus will show them all one day soon. Faith and the holy spirit of Jesus Christ is what your cousin feels. It is good that this fasinates you. God is looking for each of us, even the atheists and evil posters on this forum. It is not a plot to take your money or lead you to suicide, Jesus is reality.

The ONLY way to be touched and experience God, is to do this:

Create a private, personal, direct, divine Relationship with Our Creator and save your Soul from religion.

Love and Believe in Our Creator;
Love and Believe in Yourself.

Only with Our Creator's Love and Peace will we be Truly Free!

Without God, there is No Love; Without religion, there are No Wars!

"religion is Spiritual fraud"; "religion is the Worse invention of humanity" - Jesus Christ, Buddha and any one else with Spiritual intelligence.

atheists = all the people in religion = all the ignorant fundamentalists = all the cults/superstitions

Not. its not religious meaning. It s literally physical. I was touched too. When you talk to your subconsciousness it respond back to you. with tingling sensation in your skull or back(spine). Amazing experience. Immediately I remembered when i was in the mothers belly i stretched my legs and mom tingles you from outside. And yes tears of joy do happen.

It sounds as though your cousin had a revelation of some kind that inspired him to change his life and pursue a higher destiny....

It means that they are not aware that they are always and continously "touched by God", that they are in fact an aspect of God

It means they have become insane. Haven't you heard the phrase "Touched in the Head" meaning crazy? Someone removed the ending, "by God".
