You have 1 major possibilities here the way I see it.
That would be the model 1911, but I could not find the patent dates.
Look at the photo and see if this is you weapon.

Im guessing you have your hands on a Winchester model 1911 shotgun. If that is the case then you now own the first semi-auto shotgun produced by Winchester. Do a little more digging around the internet, and take it to a gun shop. They might be able to tell you a little bit more about what it is you have. And if it is a 1911 then hold onto it, you got a peice of history.

congratulation my Friend you are the owner of a Winchester pump action shotgun also called and trench gun because it,s short version was issued in WWI1 with a baronet lug on the front there is a Chinese copy of them out now but your,s is original and even in rough shape it at least $600 to $900 usd

Look on the barrel or receiver for the Model # ..... It should be on the gun somewhere.....
