As Dr. Albert said, with a 2x2 gauze but add a drop of alcohol, not too much, just a bit will be enough.. then it'll come off easily.

Hi, I am a new denture wearer.....I was devastated the first time I tried to remove what I thought would be the most logical way......WRONG ! There should be a warning, for dumbies. Polygrip is designed to stay in your wet mouth so biggest mistake is tryig to rinse your mouth with water after removing your teeth. It just spreads and spreads. Anyway my answer is, Yes I agree with the previous answer gauze will do it. I use a spot of mouth wash if you don't want to use straight alcohol. It takes away some of that bad taste of the polygrip.

Your dentist might have a reason why (s)he wont remove your husbands teeth. Sometimes dentures can not be fitted because the gum line is receeding too much. Your dentist might be waiting until the gums stop receeding and then dentures can be fitted. It can be done now, but if this is your husbands problem, the dentures wont fit properly and he will have to be refitted for the dentures alot sooner than if you wait. This happened to my sister a few years ago. By the time she got the dentures, she could only eat soft foods (no teeth) but she says it was worth the wait as she hasnt had to get them refitted yet. If your husbands teeth are already falling out, it may be better to wait until the gums 'calm down' Good luck!

SIMON,
THE SIMPLEST WAY IS TO USE A FOLDED PAPER NAPKIN OR PAPER TOWEL. YOU CAN ALSO BUY SOME 2X2 GAUZE PACKETS AT THE WALGREEN'S, OSCO, ETC. AND USE THIS TO GENTLY WIPE AWAY THE EXCESS PASTE.
