Yes, I do..The best way I can tell you to feel it..is stop running for a while and you miss it so much..
I agree with you..I enjoy running outside as well!
The high I get is a mental clarity and I just feel so much better as well as deal with life better.

I used to run, if you'll pardon the pun, religiously.
I had worked my way up to 25 miles a week, with a 9-miler on Saturday mornings. When I was done, my legs were jello...but the endorphin rush was second to none. I felt like I could take on the world. I've never been high from drugs, but I can't imagine that feels better, or even comparable.
Maybe you're just not 'wired' for it. If you've trained to run a marathon, and you never got the high, then I'd imagine that's the case.
I need to get back to that. I miss running.

I get runner's high when I don't have an asthma attack first. It kinda happens after the second wind, you know? Have you ever felt you could leap over cars or other objects while running? You feel invincible and it has gotten a lot of people hurt.Seriously. I've heard of people taking on vehicles for one. You feel like you can do anything, nothing can hold you back. It's really kinda sweet.

Sheesh... I wish I could run again. *snuffle* It's about the adrenaline rush that some people get, but not everybody does. I didn't get that myself, but did get attached to being outdoors and the freedom running kinda gives you, as well as the freedom to eat that extra slice of pizza. LOL

You're kidding. I cycle and the high I get from pushing my body to the limit is better than any drug. If you do exercise your body releases endorphines so you can't avoid getting a high.

Yes it feels like your brain suddenly lights up and you are hyper aware and feel calm and happy. It isn't really what would be traditionally "a high' but is a nice mental state for sure.

I used to get a bicyclist's high. I think it's from endorphins and all that. I can't believe I spelled endorphins right.

You do not put your body and soul into it...That's why you don't get the high.
