Define success. My nephew did it when he was 16. All he had to do was give up some sex to strange men even though he's not gay, and he did get his jaw broken and teeth kicked out, but only once. It healed on its own eventually. After six months his mother located him and he came home. He sure was skinny!

Why do you want to run away?

If things are so bad in your home life that you want to leave, then you must seek out someone to speak with. Is there a teacher at school, a neighbour, or other trusted adult that you can speak with concerning any home issues? The best place you should go to would be a youth club where there are counsellors available to talk with. The best thing is that some of these people have been in a bad situation and found a way out, and are there to share their experience with you, both the good and the bad. There are always much safer ways to deal with things than running away.

Before taking such a drastic step as running away, please find someone to speak with.

If you manage to get killed or forced into prostitution like so many runaways, you'll be able to stay away that long.

Is it worth it?
