p.s. I am a transfer probationer. I failed last U.A. and want to know if I am going to jail at next visit even though I will have my prescriptions from doctor in hand. My mother said not to ask it would only send up flags.

thru my experience and theres been a lot! be prepaired to go to jail. but then again what are you taking that worries you. as long as you told them that you were perscribed that med. and the dates coiside "match" when you took your ua then you cant be arrested if a doctor told you to take this. it really depends on you PO. some are ***** and some try and work with you. by law they cant do anything as long as the doctor told you to take what ever but do take the prescription with you. and listen to your mother if they dont ask, don't you ask . 90% in denton TX probation officers will tell you they will try and bust you for anything and most do and you get the time. sometimes it is better to do the time than the probation. they want your money rite until the end and they bust you or lie like mine did and said i didn't show for 1 year i have witnesses. didn't do community service.i did and got the woman to resign the papers and a good attorney. that threatened her to be investigated for lying. so she came off her sht. that was 30 days later in the hole. make copy's of every payment, that she also said i didn't do and didn't save the papers. they are dirty and they will tell you so.
MAKE COPIES OF EVERY MOVE YOU MAKE AND THE DATES YOU MADE THEM AND A WITNESS IF POSSIBLE. stay out of trouble its not worth it.there all out for money and move out of the county your in. they run your plates and know your life story before they turn on the lights and if you have any thing from the past they will stop you.and you know the rest.never trust a probation officer there cops too.
they will revoke your probation if you think they are your friend get real. dont have dirty ua's without perscriptions. there mainly looking for speed or pot or alcohal unless you were arrested for pills. good luck

Depends on your probation officer. Just like police some are good and some bad. Probably not what you want to hear but they are not all the same. Some are looking to see you do well others want you to contribute your time and money to the system they are a part of and work for. But if you have a prescription for what failed you then this is not a violation and you will not go to jail.

Why would you be concerned about asking a direct question? Maybe you would be concerned about a direct ANSWER, but not a question!

As for failing your UA. Having a prescription in hand NOW does not excuse the illegal use during the time you took the test.

As for your mothers advise....those who fail to ask a question could find themselves not understanding what they need to know. Probation is not a time to NOT understand whats going on in your situation!

Best wishes!

Since your probation officer is new, you may not be able to read her well enough to know if asking is a good idea. It all depends on your relationship with her. My advice is to listen to your mother. I know human nature means you want to know ahead of time. That's a normal reaction. If you just ride this out, maybe you'll be okay.

I hope you learn a lesson from what you're about to encounter.
