Your Question is just the tip of the iceberg. One of the things that makes religion interesting, is that everybody has their own beliefs and very few of them (If any), can be proved or disproved.
Did you know that St. Brendan crossed the Atlantic, from the British Isles to America, in a leather skinned boat, well before Columbus made his trip?.

Pretty much.
But the Virgin birth thing was used so commonly and attributed to demigods, heroes politicians and philosophers that by the time the followers of Christianity added it to their little story it was practically a prerequisite, especially if they were going to spread the cult beyond the borders of Judea. The story probably was first added AFTER the rebellion in 70 AD.
Julius Caesar, Horus, Socrates, Alexander the Great, Tammuz, etc, etc, etc.
You'd think no one ever had sex back then.

That might make sense other than the fact that Jesus existed and rose from the dead. That means that Christianity is true.

Italians eat pasta, Americans eat pasta...oh yeah, they must be the same people. Now I see the logic.

Really, I think I'll just run out and tell everyone that, NOT...give it up, you are'nt going to make us change our beliefs just because you said that. Go trolling elsewhere.
