Everything has changed for better or worse in the Industrial Age, and then the Computer Age, and now this Scientific Age. Mankind progressed through the ages in different stages. Some ppl believe as you have stated. I heard that theory when I was in school also. But I just see that the age of Mankind constantly changes and updates, and some ppl like what is new, and some other ppl don't approve of the changes. Have you seen the new trialers for the movie "Transcndence" yet? A.I. is the new age, with emotions attached to the machine with all the knowledge of Mankind collected through the millions of years here on earth. The one thing that is certain is change, so I believe in making the best of what the future holds, rather then thowing up my hands and saying..."It is doomsday!" The end of the world may come when I am alive or later, but I prefer a positive outlook on Life and society in general.

I am a polytheist IndoPagan and a witch.
My favorite musical groups/artists in no particular order are Malice Mizer, Tori Amos, Tool, System of a Down, and the Squirrel Nut Zippers.

3. LDS Church - hymns and children's songs
4. Sally De Ford - spiritual, Christian, LDS
5. Janice Kapp Perry - spiritual, Christian, LDS

Interesting question. I wonder what kind of correlations you may find. Anyway 5 of my favorite bands include:
Bad Religion - punk rock
Sonata Arctica - Finnish power metal
Muse - pop/rock
Metallica (pre-black album) - thrash metal
Stephen Lynch - Singing comedian who does twisted love songs
I do have a very eclectic taste in music, listening to a broad range of things, but these are some of my favorites.
Atheist.

I am a pagan.
I love classic rock, folk, blues and I am even into some of the stuff my kids listen to. Not the hip hop though.
1. Fleetwood Mac
2. Rolling Stones
3. Aerosmith
4. All Soul singers from the 70s
5. Jeff Buckley
I just wanted to add that music does not have to be religious in order to be inspirational. God can be found in the notes of many different tunes.
