A 308 bolt action is a great choice, light recoil and a large selection of bullets and best of all you can find that just about anywhere. A second choice young Lady is the 7mm-08.
I don't know your height or weight but a 270 or 30-06 may have to much kick for you, and that will make you flinch and miss your game.
Good luck.

The .243 Winchester is the very minimum deer rifle. The .25-06 Remington is a better deer rifle with very little recoil, but may intimidate a 13 year old since the shell is as big as the .30-06.
A .44 Magnum carbine also has very little recoil and is good out to a 100 yards or so.
Good luck.

I think you should start with a smaller gauge shotgun, like a 20 gauge in a semi auto, which will have less recoil than a break barrel or a pump. There are many fine recoil reducing devices available today also. If you must go with a rifle a .243 is the bare minimum but they also have a new .257 super short magnum that would be great. Don't let other people discourage you from hunting because you are a girl, it's a great sport for anyone who enjoys the outdoors.

The calibers I would recommend would be the 243 or 25-06.
The 25-06 being the better caliber, it has very little felt recoil.
If you know any hunters see if any one you know has a 25-06 or 243 for her to test out.
You can go with a 30-30 with reduced recoil loads, that is usually a 30-30 loaded with a 125 grain bullet not the 150 or 180 grain that kick too much for a young girl.
But the 25-06 has less recoil over the 30-30, but don’t confuse it with the 30-06 for that puppy has more kick the she might like.

My grandad used a Marlin 36 lever rifle in .30-30 for like 40 years. It's a handy rifle, not too big or heavy for a teenaged girl and it's good for whitetails. She can use this as an adult too.
You could also go with the many other .30-30 lever guns, but I like the way the 36 ejects and it's easier to mount a scope....
Today, it's the model 336....

Remington model 7 youth chambered in 7mm08. It's short, light and handy, and despite the light weight that caliber, which is about as close as you can get to a perfect deer caliber, won't loosen any fillings with its pleasant little recoil. Perfect caliber, and the youth stock will probably come close to a good fit as is, which is an important consideration that's often overlooked.

I used an ithaca model 37 "featherweight" 20ga my first hunt
-Really light-
-pump-
-affordable-
its an older model gun, but its for a 13 yo girl, i think thats one of the better choices
--Sorry i just seen you put rifle, my gpa taught me to hunt shotgun all the way--
I meaning my grandpa would personally recommend either the .243 or the .270. Both calibers are very accurate and don't deliver much recoil.

If you dont like recoil, look at a 243, or a 30-30. Both are respectable deer calibers and have killed quite a few.
