Luk 16:10 "One who is faithful in a very little is also faithful in much, and one who is dishonest in a very little is also dishonest in much. (ESV Translation)

Lu 16:10
If we are faithful in our stewardship of what is least (money), then we will be faithful in handling what is much (spiritual treasures). On the other hand, a man who is unrighteous in using the money which God has entrusted to him is unrighteous when bigger considerations are at stake. The relative unimportance of money is emphasized by the expression what is least.

Giving releases us in ministry. I might not be able to sing; you might not be able to preach. But one thing is common to everyone in this room: money. Therefore, the Lord uses money as the ultimate test to see if He can entrust to us even greater ministry. This is why D. L. Moody said, "I can see more about the spirituality of a man by reading through his checkbook than I can by reading through his prayer book." Anyone can write flowery phrases, but giving is the true barometer of where one is at spiritually.

"I don't make hardly any money," you say. Oh, but if you make even fifteen thousand dollars a year between the ages of twenty and sixty, you will have been entrusted with more than half a million dollars in your lifetime.

"What are you going to do with it?" asks Jesus. "If I can trust you with the least, with unrighteous mammon, I can open up doors of other ministry for you proportionately. But if you are unfaithful with money, I cannot commit to you the true riches of a fuller, more impacting ministry."

I understand what that means and is even used in the court system. If someone lies on the stand he discredits everything else that he says. Also makes people believe that maybe he is lying about killing or stealing.
He swears on a bible not to lie, but he does?? This causes questions in the minds of the jury?
In some cases can get a person convicted of a serious crime. Because if he lies, then he steals, or murders.
This girl in the office was a known thief. From pencils to scissors. So when some expensive office equipment came up missing they thought she did it. Why? They said ::"if she steals small things you can bet she will advance to bigger things" They were right she did do it.

It means anyone having a small itty bit of faith will be faithful on the big things, no problem. In the small day to day-- remaining faithful to God like being kind to one another, honesty in things that would never be discovered, helping someone in secret, personal study--that kind of things is least among men.

Probably no one would ever notice, but that person could be counted on to be faithful in the larger things of remaining faithful under persecution. Those things that take the most faith.

In other words even a little faith is a lot, like when Christ talks of having the faith the size of a mustard seed. And the other part of scripture talks of the direct opposite. Being unjust a little is being unjust a lot.

Hope that helps! ^_^

Be faithful. This means we remain loyal to Jehovah while facing difficult tests or severe trials. We also remain faithful even in what appear to be small matters.

Our heavenly Father Jehovah strengthens us to face larger or more formidable trials.

If we build up faith in Jehovah now, we can look forward to survival into his promised new world—either by living through the great tribulation or by receiving a resurrection. (2 Peter 3:13.) We hope to never allow any lack of faith to relax our precious relationship with Jehovah.

Luke 16:10 "Whoever can be trusted with very little can also be trusted with much, and whoever is dishonest with very little will also be dishonest with much."

That's pretty clear. If you are an honest person in this life than you are living with holiness in that area.

If you're able to go against the grain, and have faith even when others don't (like in what seems impossible), then it will be even easier for you to have faith in what everyone else thinks is possible.

If you bend your head to pray at meals...if you stop for a stop sign even though no one can see....if you keep your home, car and lawn tidy.....if you are kind to animals.....these are little things...but they reflect on the God you worship.
If you are conscientious in these least things..then when larger things present themselves you will seek the ways of God to handle them also...and you will be faithful in much..like immorality...murder....stealing.

Early Christian scripture when there weren't that many adherents. Those who accept the message early despite the mocking of the majority will be saved.

Christians should sweat the small stuff and leave the big picture to the professionals....get out of government, classrooms and places of power, you Christians!
