Heh heh. I'll take the ancient 1D over a dRebel for sports and a few other purposes any day. With 45 AF points and 8fps, I´ll make do with the 4MB sensor.
This is an advanced camera and anything short of the user´s manual or a reference book won´t do it justice. The same goes for the 1D Mark ll, 1Ds, and 1D lll models that followed.
Here´s a link to the manual for the original 1D

At the top of that page you´ll find a link to download the entire thing as a pdf file.

The Canon 1d is a 4 mega pixel (not very good!) pro digital SLR from 2001. That makes it ancient in digital camera years! Since it is a pro camera it only has one auto setting and the rest are manual. If you don't know how to use a camera manually then try using it in "p" mode. The camera will set the aperture and shutter speed for you. But since this camera is huge and the picture quality is not as good as most point and shoot cameras you can buy today I am not sure if it is worth it.
below is a link to a review from 2001. Hope this helps, good luck! Oh, if you have lenses for the 1d you can buy a rebel or a canon 30d and use the same lenses. Better lighter newer cameras!

You might consider that this is an awfully general question.
What is it that you really want to know?
