Can anybody sing the song Take Time To Be Holy?

But church people say nobody's holy. I suspect it's just their way of avoiding the issue and the respnsibility.

Johnny answered with a question: "How do you take time to be holy?" I don't, cause I'm not one of the church people; and they don't either, cause they think they're saved already. They got their cake and eat it too -- sin and go to heaven anyway.

"Because it is written, Be ye holy; for I am holy." (1 Peter 1:16)

None of us are holy because we are not perfect. All have sinned. We have already fallen short of the glory of God! (Romans 3:10, 23)

But this does not mean we are to continue in sin. We should repent or change our mind which results in a change of lifestyle. We should strive to live a holy life from this point onward. Instead of continuing in sin, we should strive to do holy things, to walk in the light.

Even Jesus told the woman who had been caught in the act of adultry, "Go and sin no more!" (John 8:11)

Dubious youngster,
I can sing the song and I have led the song at Church occaisionally. It is an old favorite for a number of our members. This song has many good qualities no matter how you feel about it. People can be HOLY if they ask GOD for HIS forgivness daily and study HIS WORD regularly. This is expected of HIM. Have a great day and a wonderful week.

You are right pal! No man is holy. But yet God favors few people. Read some of the Books from Old Testament for this.
