I personally have no use for one and I dare say that no one else does either on any level that is of any real value to ones day to day living.

If people really evaluated their lives in realistic terms they would see that there have been days (even one will do) that they never even give a thought to their 'soul'. That being said, if it can be ignored for even one day then there is no reason to worry about whether one even exists. It doesn't seem to assert any real or undeniable control over the body.

The 'soul' is just something postulated by religion to make people believe that they live beyond this world. If you believe in an afterlife then you MUST believe in the 'soul', if you believe in the 'soul' then you're likely to believe in an afterlife, but if one realizes that the 'soul' does not exist then there can be no 'afterlife'. That is why religious people are certain that it exists. It's part and parcel with religious dogma, none of which has any valid evidence.

So I don't have a soul. I don't need one. It would serve no purpose.

I dont think I "have" one, but the Bible tells me that every earthly creature *is* a soul
Genesis 2:7
Ezekiel 18:4
1 Corinthians 15:45
1 Peter 3:19

satan deceived Eve into thinking she had an immortal soul and would "not die but would be like God". Most of the world's religions still believe in satan's original lie. You will find very few religions that believe YHWH who gave Solomon the wisdom to write Ecclesiastes 3:19, 20 & 9:5, and David to write Psalm 146:4 and Moses to record what YHWH told Adam at Genesis 3:19 telling us exactly what happens to us when we die. And when is the resurrection of those who are asleep in death?
Yhshua tells us at John 5:28, 29; John 11:11
And before that Daniel was told by YHWH to write Daniel 12:2. All these Scriptures expose satan's first deception that "you will not die" (Genesis 3:4) as the lie that it is!

agape!

The Bible is clear "The Soul that sinneth it shall die." Ezekiel 18:4.

After reading that it seems clear that it is speaking of living, breathing human. Everything that is alive is a soul, from humans to animals.

And what makes a soul is the breath that is within them. In Genesis 2:7 it says that "God breathed into his nostrils the Breath Of Life and Man became a living soul."

Once we die the "the spirit (Breath) shall return unto God who gave it" Ecclesiastes 12:7.

Therefore it is clear after reading scripture that Mankind is a soul, a soul is not a ghostly essence that floats around in limbo. A soul is a human body with the Breath Of Life in it.

Remember in Narina when The Lion (Christ) breathed upon the dead bodys and life returns to them? That's how it is we are dead in this world we are simply bodys that can't move nor speak. No whisping around saying "boo". That is total nonsence, and Satan knows it. The Bible says that the "dead know not anything"Eccl. 9:5.

I AM my soul as my life. The body I am in is just the vehicle I use to fulfill my life's journey. It is not a stupid question. You have to learn to reverse the question. I am a soul who believes I have a body. The soul came first and then looked for the body he fits in. If you cannot accept it, you are still in the first stage of your soul/life and there is nothing wrong about it.

One God.One Spirit of God and a soul in each of us.and many religions.
I was brought up a Christian and have explored many other religions.
the reason i know i have an eternal soul is because i have seen a number of supernatural life saving miracles. and have been lead by the spirit of God to do certain things in my life. I have witnessed the workings of the spirit of God.i try to be constantly in prayer and asking of the spirit for direction.and i know the spirit of God .i hear the voice of the spirit within me.so i would assume since i have experienced so much spiritually that life must be more then just this world.it must carry on into the spiritual worlds when i pass on from this world.its only common sense that i have a soul.that's eternal.its not something i just believe. its something i know as much as i know anything. the spirit and God and my soul is eternal. and i praise God for everything. even all my suffering .I wish for you the very best on your spiritual journey.and there's no such thing as a stupid question.

You know those dreams you have that are different from your other dreams? Bright vivid colors, ability to see everywhere at once instead of just what is in front of you? These dreams aren't dreams. They are out of body experiences. We all have them when we go to sleep. Some people at will can have an out of body. It is a natural human ability. It is not dangerous or scary or sinful. Notice your dreams and see how many times you have actually been out of body. That's your soul that leaves your body and takes trips around the world and to other places. Look within for the truth and you won't be disappointed.

Aside from my spiritual beliefs, there are scientific proof also. I don't have the facts here in front of me and maybe someone else can give more information, but studies were done on people when they died. They were on a very sensitive scale at the time of death and at that moment they lost weight. Again, I don't have the facts here in front of me, so don't attack me for not being exact, but the studies were done and the body did lose weight, suggesting it was the soul leaving the body.

I don't *think* I have a soul...
I *know* that I *AM* a soul.

"Man came to *be* a living soul." --Genesis 1:7b

"The first man Adam *became* a living soul." -- 1 Co 15:45

"You will ... return to the ground, for out of it you were taken.
For dust you are and to dust you will return." --Genesis 3:19

"The soul that is sinning will itself die." --Ezekiel 18:4

The only sense that I 'have' a soul, is that:
I *am* a soul, but, I *have* been given the gift of life.

I do NOT have a soul. I AM a soul. And of course, I'm using the Bible as my source.

Body + Breath = Soul.

When I die, the soul ceases to exist.

I do have a soul-mate though, my wife. And I have a marriage certificate to prove it.
