My computer makes the system noises and all that, like the noises when you shut down, click on something, etc, but i cant listen to music or videos on the internet or whatever. Can anyone help me with this, or is there somewhere i can download a " sound device"

I get this message when trying to play music:

Windows Media Player cannot play the file because there is a problem with your sound device. There might not be a sound device installed on your computer, it might be in use by another program, or it might not be functioning properly.

Sounds like you are missing the driver for your sound card. Go to the web site of the manufacturer of the PC (or sound card if you got it separately). They will have the driver as a free download. Install it and you should have sound again.

First shutdown, eliminate the sound card. Reboot, eliminate the drivers via utilising device supervisor. Reboot lower back, deploy the drivers from the driving force CD. Shutdown, replace the cardboard, reboot, and homestead windows, will load the drivers you purely put in. in case you haven't any longer have been given the CD, bypass to the manufacturers website and acquire the latest drivers.
