My cousin's pit just had ten pups. He took them about 2 days later and yesterday she started bleeding black stuff from her vagina and looks like she is dying...literally. Aside from the atrocity of taking the babies so young, can anyone guess whats wrong with her? Is it another pup stuck inside? He's afraid to take her to the vet so the poor thing is laying there in agony.

He ditched the puppies because they were a mix he didnt want (butthole) and he's afraid if he takes her they will ask where the puppies are. ...If she's still alive I may have to take her yeah...I cant stand this.

I know...its horrible. I thought maybe I could get the puppies from the shelter but he said he put them in a canyon to be devoured by something. OMG...Im so pissed...

Well I left work and went to get her. The vet checked her and told me she was dangerously dehydrated, her blood sugar was 24 and normal is 75, she had a temp of 102, more than likely an infection in her uterus caused by a puppy still in there on top of the stress of losing her puppies and lactating. Just to stabilize her through the night would cost $1200 which of course I dont have and she couldnt guarantee if the dog would even survive the night, let alone surgery to remove a puppy. Tearfully I opted to have her PTS. At least she wont live out her last days in excruciating pain the nurse told me. Because she was definitely suffering. As for my cousin...he's been arrested. (unrelated to her) Karma is a B**** !

You need to stop whining and take the dog to the vet. Being pissed isn't doing anything...action will.
If he indeed did something to the puppies, he will need to be reported to the local authorities for animal cruelty. Hopefully he will be fined and not allowed to have any other animals.
If you don't do anything, you'll be his accomplice and will have to live with the guilt of knowing you could have helped but didn't.
Take action, or live with the consequences.
I'd be more than happy to report him for you...just give me all the details.

One thing for sure the dog WILL die if it's not got to a vet. There maybe a dead puppy inside or a retained placenta. It could also be an infection.
A vet must be seen right away. Your friend will not like having to bottle feed the whole litter every 2 hours day and night for 3-4 weeks if the mother dies and she WILL with out medical attention.

For goodness sake, Scoop her up and get her to a vet. Your cousin should be arrested for animal cruelty. DO NOT LET HIM HAVE HER BACK!!! Better that she is PTS than to continue being treated like this.
If he won't give you the dog, call the humane society and report it immediately. What he did was in fact, a criminal act and he does not need to own a dog. People like him disgust me.
People, he killed her pups because they were a mix he didn't want. Your cousin just committed felony animal cruelty and should not be allowed to own an animal again. He is an idiot and if he doesn't learn this time, he will continue to torture and abuse animals. He won't take the dog to the vet because he knows what he did was wrong and illegal and he doesn't want to suffer the consequences for his poor choices.

TAKE HER TO THE VET!!!!
She probably has an infected uterus from a puppy and/or placenta not getting delivered. If she does not see a vet NOW, she will die.
By the way.....letting a dog lay there and suffer because he is refusing to take it to the vet is considered animal cruelty, which is a felony in most states. Just letting the puppies die is the equivalent to killing them himself, and he could face a felony charge for every puppy that he killed. I would call your local animal control (or the normal police) on him and then let them try to save the mother or take her to the vet yourself.

well the cousin needs to have NO DOGS WHAT SO EVER
what a shame the poor dog has him as an owner, is he wanting a dog to make money out of selling the pure breed puppies ??
take the dog away from him
i think the reason he wont go to the vet is he doesn't want to spend the money on the dog........
he will let it die in agony and just go out and get another one

Only the vet will be able to tell you for sure - Get her to a vet, even if you have to take her yourself!
While you've got her there, make an appointment to have her spayed so your cousin doesn't have the opportunity to bring more unwanted pups into the world!

Please, get her to the vet. And report your cousin to the police/local authorities. If you can, find that canyon and (alive or dead) if possible, fetch those puppies. Pit bulls normally have high pain tolerence so if that mother Pitbull is showing pain, she IS probably sick. It is illegal in all fifty states to do all of the things you said your cuz did(Refusing medical treatment to an animal, abandoning animals of any species or age, etc.). He should be prohibited from owning any animals again. And get her to the vet FAST!

first try and find a vet who can come to you as you are unsure of what's wrong and moving her might create alot of stress, after you take her to the vet the second thing you need to do is go beat your cousin up till he takes you to the pups,hope that helped! hope you take the second part seriously because do you really want them out in a canyon starving to death?! and crieing just to die anyway!

Well geez the vet is not going to take a bat to your cousin or anything though he may get a stern talking to. See a vet or get her to the animal shelter. Why / where did he take the pups? I don't understand...

If she is not dead yet and he won't take her to the vet, Take her yourself, for her sake. It isn't unusual for a mom dog to bleed for as much as a week, But what you describe doesn't sound normal. She may also be grieving for her pups. I hope you tell him how irresponsible he is.
