Hi, does anyone know how to spell "I love you" in Portuguese? My boyfriend says it all the time, and it sounds like "you wompt", but I'm sure that's wrong!

All 3 are acceptable but the most commonly used in European Portuguese is Amo-te (non-formal). Te Amo is more Brazilian Portuguese and Eu Amo-te is more Formal European Portuguese.

"Eu amo-te". This is the right expression for "I love you" in european portuguese.

Try pronouncing it like you would in Spanish, or in Brazilian Portuguese when pronouncing á word that doesn't have "e" or "i" as its second letter (e.g. dois, which means the number 2). If that doesn't work, you're on your own. Or you can ask if the person you're speaking to can speak English.
