I answered this question about a month ago for a young woman ... here is my answer (BTW it was voted as best answer). I don't think it is safe to loose 30 pounds in 30 days BUT is it possible. The safest amount I tell you to loose would be 20 to 25 (5 to 6 lbs per week) pounds this month BUT you would have to work hard at it.

I do not know what physical shape you are in (whether you hyperventalate walking to the corner) or if you can run all day long. First thing I can tell you is to start out slow and test your physical limits. You do not need to be discouraged right off the bat.

If you have a hard time running, then mix walking and running on a track or around the block. Also, as already mentioned - abs. When doing sit-ups (or crunches) hold it in the 1/2 way position. Remember feeling the burn is o.k. and is not a bad thing.

Another thing is your diet, what do you eat or drink. Diet sodas are not always the best thing to drink. Switch the sodas you drink to water (I put Crystal Lite packets in my bottled water). When looking at things to eat, look at the FAT calories (or total fat) more than regular calories.

Other than running, borrow your mom's bicycle (if she has one) and go riding. One of my friends dropped close to 50 pounds by cycling, but he did it almost religious and daily when in college.

But when using a treadmill jog at an good average pace for you and then pick up the pace (sprinting on the track) for 30 to 45 seconds and then go to the normal pace again. My normal setting is 6.5 on the treadmill (I'm getting old it used to be 7.5), and I sprint between 9.5 to 10. I also stay on the treadmill (or run) for appx. 20 to 30 minutes and then hit the weights, but also when not doing that I usually try for 35 to 45 minutes.

I hope this helps, and remember by building a good physical habits now (your age) you can use it for the rest of your life. Take care and good luck with the 5 pounds.

I found the book to be very informative and easy to read.

I've lost 17 pounds in 12 days, I'm just concerned that I'm losing too much weight, too quickly. I will admit I haven't followed the guide exactly. I'm not sticking perfectly to the listed foods and meal plans (but mostly) and doing very little exercise, but the weight keeps flying off.

It clearly works and if I'd followed it exactly I think it would scare the living daylights out of me because of the amount that I'd lose. So thanks again for the information. I've never purchased anything like this before because they are usually full of trash, but 3WD has been a pleasant surprise.

Get started today!

Sorry, however the one healthful to drop some pounds is right vitamin and recreation. You're simply going to ought to rise up prior and figure out. Starving your self will close down your metabolism and positioned you into hunger mode. You'll achieve all of it again plus extra while you begin consuming once more. Your metabolism is sort of a hearth; it demands to be fed continuously. Eat four or five small foods an afternoon, do not ever bypass foods. Get up half-hour early and run on a treadmill, or run across the block for half-hour. Get a few dumbbells and begin a few weight coaching to tone up. Hopefully, you'll be able to selected to try this the healthful manner. Don't abuse your frame simply to lose a couple of kilos.

I don' think there is a safe way to lose 30 lbs in a month. Try cutting 1000 calories a day to lose 2 lbs a week, and that will be a good start. Eat 500 less calories and burn 500 through exercise.
If you really are dead set on trying to lose 30 lbs quickly, I would suggest not cutting out too much food, but upping your activity level instead. In other words, Don't try to starve yourself. Just get on a exercise bike or treadmill for as long as you can. Good luck!

Monday-Wednesday = almost all meat
Thursday - Saturday = no meat, few carbs and all the natural fruits and veggies you can eat
Sunday = Orange juice

Drink all the water you can.

Don't sleep more than 8 hrs a day, even on weekends.

At least half an hour run in the morning each day followed by 100 situps and 100 pushups (or as many as you can handle)

Walk to work or park in a spot far from the front door of your office.

Take a 15 min. walk after two hours, another walk during lunch, another 15 min walk 2 hrs before your work day is over.

Afternoon run for an hour, or elliptical, etc. Another brisk walk after dinner.

Early to bed.

No alcohol, mayo, or salad dressing.

Rinse and repeat until you meet your goal.

Good luck!

30 lbs in a month is an insurmountable goal.

Eat only fresh foods and lots of veggies. Eat no fats or oils (butter margarine cooking oil). Eat no sweets. No red meat. (fish, chicken and turkey only) Eat no breads or pasta.

CHEW YOUR FOOD SLOWLY.

DRINK LOTS OF WATER.

Work out - start by walking a mile TONIGHT. Park further away from the building and take the stairs more often even if it is just 2 or 3 flights and taking the elevator the rest of the way.

Go talk to your doctor and a nutritionist about such large weight loss. Look to make lifestyle changes rather than just a quick weight loss diet.

DON'T STARVE YOURSELF.

Good luck

Okay okay! Not possible but you can get on the right track if you eat a diet high in fiber, stay away from fried and processed foods. You heard this before. When you go to the grocery store dont set foot in the middle(that is where all the processed foods are) stay on the outside and get fresh whole foods. Also eat breakfast like a king, lunch like a prince and dinner like a pauper. And definelty do not snack past 800 pm and you will on the right track. Good Luck.

First of all, you need to give yourself some time. In order to lose 30 lbs and keep it off, you need to give yourself at least 15 weeks.

If you lose weight too quickly, you will also gain it back quickly.

The basic idea behind losing weight is to expend more energy than you eat. (Basically burn more calories than you eat).

To do this, you need to give your body a slight deficit. You should try counting your calories, or restricting your diet to healthy foods in healthy portion.

I usually use a measuring cup for dishing out sides, and that is usually pretty close to a serving size.

Drink lots of water!!!

Also, you should try working out at least 3 days per week for 30 minutes to an hour. Pick an activity that you like. Here are some ideas:

-walking/jogging
-bike riding
-elliptical
-jump roping
-intervals (sprinting, walking, sprinting, walking, sprinting, walking)
-dancing

etc.

Make sure you make your health a lifestyle, because otherwise you will go back to your old habits and gain the weight back.

Good luck!

Listen, hon, don't be so hard on yourself. Losing 30 lbs in one month isn't healthy. Losing 12 lbs in a month is a better plan. Get a bicycle and use that instead of driving every place. Hopefully, you live in a somewhat safe area. Eat healthy, protein from lean cuts of meat and lots of veggies and fruit. Drink tons of water, no soda or alcohol. It will melt off you if you bicycle at least 40 minutes 5 days a week.

I myself am 5'3", and at one point I was 185. (This is what I weighed prior to delivering both of my children, only this time I wasn 't preggers.) Anyway, I used the South Beach Diet. IT WORKS!!! I don't know if you will lose 30 lbs., but your weight will drastically go down, and you'll actually see it in your clothes first. They will fit differently, I promise. I was a size 18, and refused to go clothes shopping until I felt I was "small", I finally broke down and went, and by the end of June I was a size 10. I started the new way of eating in April, and even added in walking by May. You may want to try it. I really does work, and your energy levels will shoot through the roof.
