I was very serious about a guy when we were teenagers. And
nothing became of our relationship. We went our seperate ways. Now after 17 years he found me. He tells me that he is
in love with me and he always has been. I really don't know if
he is being real or is he just playing around. He keeps saying
that he wants to come out here and see me. But he has been
saying that since October of 06'. And the other day he told me
again that he is in love with me. But this time I did not answer
him. I don't want to be hurt by him again. I'm just confused.
What should I do?

He may be entertaining himself with the "idea" of you. Or maybe he has built you up so much over all these years that he is scared to make it real.

Sounds like you are both adults now so if you're into it too tell him to stop talking about it and "come on!" If he cant show up I'd let it go.

One question, how does he know that he is in love with you if you havent been in touch for 17 years?

this isn't a shaggy dog tale pal. it really is in ordinary words (shouted) mind's eye. we are a thoughts extra efficient than what's projected. the very reality " India is wide and massive" isn't understood through many foreigners and some Indians to boot. each from time to time my acquaintances from different international places use to ask the thanks to say "hi" in Indian. Then I really ought to describe it about the diverse languages, usually they get astonished. it really is a sub continent the position we've diverse cultures, races, religions and ethnicity. there is not something incorrect in announcing your state, and no man or woman will say it to a foreigner the very reality he might want to not understand. besides the indisputable fact that the point is to a fellow Indian, to develop into conscious of your self you could conveniently tell your state and faith so long because it really is in a superior experience. India is the biggest democracy, the variety of media coverage and connectivity which we've, the so suggested as anti nationwide politicians are saved at vigil all time. So we ought to continuously not panic and initiate battling . Jai hind. East or West , India is the perfect. Proud to be an Indian.

why not hook up and see where it goes. i mean you all were friends when you were in your teens, that gives you reason enough to see him, not just to get a relationship going, but to see a friend, and if after you see each other you decide that maybe being more than friends would be great than have at it. you only live once take a chance, you all were young, and maybe not really ready for a relationship, now you are older, that could have alot to do with it ya know you all were just possibly to young.

Do you have someone else in your life now? If you do, then don't risk it. This person might be holding a picture of you in their head that is not you anymore. If you were "first loves" then you might idealize that relationship. However, if you don't have anyone else in your life and you are curious, then just do it! You don't have to do anything you don't want to do once you see him and after you see him you should be able to tell if he really likes you, the idea of you, or is just playing around.

Just go with your heart...Do you really want to take a chance on this guy again? I personally think people deserve a second chance. But go with what you think is right.
